Lake County PA NP Organization

Good day to all of the local group leaders in Florida.

We would like to encourage you and your membership to strongly promote NP week Nov 9th-15th. NP week is not only a time to recognize our colleagues and celebrate our contributions to the health of Floridians, it is also a wonderful opportunity to increase public awareness and understanding of our unique role and the increased benefit (improved access to safe, effective high quality care as well as cost-effective care) if we are allowed to practice to the full scope of our education and training.

AANP has an official 2014 NP Resource Guide. It is available on the website and is filled with great ideas to help you plan an exciting week in your communities. Suggested activities are to contribute letters to the editors of your local papers, having legislators "shadow an NP", obtaining proclamations in recognition of the week from local mayors, city councils or other community leaders, hosting health fairs are just examples of a few of these. This is a unique opportunity to showcase the many services provided by NPs and bring recognition to the NP role, increasing awareness of the exceptional contributions NPs make to the health care of millions of Americans. Please review the materials in the resource guide, and let us know how you are celebrating NP Week. We want to share your successes with others around the country.
